Here is a finger-style rendition of ‘Yesterday’ by the Beatles that I performed the other day. I would like to say I did this in one take but that would be a lie. After battling against Rosie’s barking, seagulls squawking, builders yelling & messing up a few times near the end I finally got an unhindered take to show you.

This particular finger-style version that I learned has me covering the chords and Paul McCartney’s vocal line at the same time. I hope you enjoy:
I have to say, that while this is not one of my favorite Beatles songs, your rendition is by far the best I have ever heard! You put me in mind of Andre Segovia. Well done you!

Thanks very much. I started learning fingerstyle guitar about a year ago to try and widen my horizons on the instrument. I have a newfound respect for classical guitarists. My favorite Beatles song is ‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps’, I should probably try and learn that at some point.

Very nice, George. Back when I was 16 and played guitar I used to fingerpick to Dust in the Wind.

Thank you very much. That seems a great song to learn, I might give it a go at some point.

Thank you, George. I picked it back up again. I can do some parts. The thing I love with fingerpicking is it’s deep in muscle memory. Happy playing!
